Abstract
Since Apéry's proof of the irrationality of , decades of work have explored integrals, hypergeometric identities, and recurrences with exceptional arithmetic properties, to discover the strongest quantitative bounds on irrationality measures for zeta values and related constants. Yet, most findings have relied on specially tailored families of such constructions, making their systematic extension difficult. Here we show how these constructions can be connected and generalized into a common multidimensional structure based on conservative matrix fields (CMFs), enabling a systematic discovery of new irrationality proofs and quantitative bounds for irrationality exponents. CMFs are finite-dimensional cocycles of compatible rational matrix shifts, and are shown to capture all the classical constructions developed since Apéry as one-dimensional trajectories. The initial point encodes the mathematical constants; varying the trajectory within a suitable convergence region produces different approximation schemes for the same constants. We use this structure to improve the irrationality measures of famous constants, yielding for example and , and proving that are linearly independent over , yielding for every . The same approach demonstrated over other CMFs provides irrationality proving trajectories for infinitely more mathematical constants. We further construct higher-rank CMFs with explicit initial states for , and identify the arithmetic conditions needed to obtain further, higher-order independence results.

The linear-independence and irrationality-measure conclusions in Section 6 are supported by the written reductions together with the paper's versioned exact-certificate package. The printed proof contains several local precision and inequality-symbol defects, but the certified stronger bounds give verified repairs without changing any theorem statement.
The joint construction crosses the irrationality threshold
PDF pp. 22–28 · arXiv:2610.27799v1
The dual pairing identifies the two limits, the recessive solution gives decay rate , and the forward/dual prime counts give a common-divisor rate at least . The independently executed exact notebooks verify the matrix identities, recurrence certificates, finite prime counts, tail bounds, and final interval arithmetic. With growth , the standard bounded-gap criterion gives linear independence of and the stated bound below for each fixed nonzero rational pair.
The individual and measure bounds have certified margins
PDF pp. 28–30 and Appendices B.2–B.4 · arXiv:2610.27799v1
For the certified carry bound gives against . For the combined certificate gives against . These margins imply respectively and . All nine pinned notebooks and the two material Meijer- identity checks were independently executed successfully from release v1.0.0.
The harmonic-weighted Gregory family follows from the displayed spectral certificate
PDF pp. 31–38 and Appendix C · arXiv:2610.27799v1
The cyclic matrix identity, characteristic polynomial, root isolation, and divisor estimate give a positive threshold margin for . The supplied exact checker reproduces the printed algebra and a rigorous positive margin, so the stated irrationality conclusion follows under the paper's listed recurrence and nonvanishing inputs.

The central written reductions and their cited exact certificates are complete after local precision and comparison-symbol corrections. The versioned supplement was integrity-checked and its nine notebooks plus eight additional exact scripts were independently executed successfully.
Use lower-bound language for the approximation exponent
PDF p. 28 · proof of Theorem 6.4 · arXiv:2610.27799v1
From a decay lower bound and a coefficient-growth upper bound , the argument proves , not the printed equality . The next inequality uses only this lower bound and the certified values , , so replacing by is the unique harmless correction.
Retain enough certified digits in the growth bound
PDF pp. 29–30 · arXiv:2610.27799v1
The rounded input yields only , which does not by itself imply the later . Appendix B.3 and the executed certificate give the stronger bound , hence Replace the prematurely rounded input by this certified value. The theorem's numerical conclusion is unchanged.
Use the certified combined bound before rounding the denominator margin
PDF p. 30 and Appendix B.4 · arXiv:2610.27799v1
The displayed coarse components total ; rounding the resulting difference directly to is in the wrong direction for the quotient bound. Appendix B.4 and the reproduced certificate give so and the printed final bound follows. Use this stronger certified line in place of the coarse decimal line.
The material exact computations are reproducible
Cited supplementary package for Section 6 and Appendices B.1–B.4 · arXiv:2610.27799v1
The release manifest matched all 103 source and fixed-data files. In the pinned Python 3.12 environment, all nine notebooks and all eight additional exact scripts passed, including the joint, , pure-, Meijer-, and Gregory checks. This verifies the finite symbolic and interval computations actually used above; the analytic reductions were checked separately in the paper.
